First turtles hatch from their nests

The first turtle nest of the season has hatched in Alagadi. The turtles in question are green turtles, and began their journey into the sea last week.

Since then, a number of other turtles, including loggerhead turtles, have began to hatch all over the country, with the North Cyprus Society for the Protection of Turtles (SPOT) continuing its work in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the new hatchlings.
